Dear Independent Singer-Songwriters,
As the Programming Director of RadioA1A, Paradise Road Radio, and Cruisin' Country Radio, I want to share an important message with the artists who make our stations possible.
Maintaining the integrity of our stations as outlets for genuine independent singer-songwriters has become increasingly time-consuming and challenging. Every song submission we receive requires careful listening, research, verification, and evaluation to ensure we feature authentic, human-created music rather than AI-generated original songs. While technology certainly has its place as a tool in music production and promotion, our mission remains focused on showcasing the creativity, storytelling, musicianship, and personal expression that come from real artists sharing real experiences through their music.
The unfortunate reality is that the growing presence of AI-generated songs creates an unfair environment for independent singer-songwriters who invest their hearts, talents, time, and resources into writing and recording original music. Every hour spent verifying submissions is time that could otherwise be devoted to discovering and promoting more deserving independent artists. Nevertheless, we remain committed to preserving the standards that have defined RadioA1A, Paradise Road Radio, and Cruisin' Country Radio from the beginning.
We also ask every artist and representative to help us streamline the submission process by providing properly tagged MP3 files. Accurate metadata should include the song title, artist name, album information when applicable, songwriter credits, and other relevant details. In addition, please include a square cover image with a clearly readable artist name and song title. Proper presentation allows us to display and program your music professionally across our websites, apps, social media platforms, and broadcasting systems.
The A1A Affiliate stations pride themselves on presenting and programming music in the best possible way to feature original music and the artists who create it. Your attention to submission details helps us maintain that standard while ensuring your music receives the recognition it deserves.
